The Leap Crew

Who we're building for, and who's doing the building.

What we want for every child who leaves us, how we go about it each day, and the mentors your child will spend those days with.

Vision

A generation of curious, empathetic and expressive young people who build fulfilling futures for themselves and make life better for others.

Mission

The Leap School is a child-centred school where every child is known, cared for and taught by mentors who love teaching. We build learning around questions rather than memorisation, so that children grow in knowledge, character and voice.

01

Teachers

We hire and train teachers for warmth and craft, and give them the time and freedom to teach the child in front of them, not a pacing chart.

02

Learning

Children learn by asking, exploring and explaining. Understanding matters more than recall.

03

Attention

Teachers know each child's strengths, questions and story, and every family hears something specific about their child, regularly.

Personal Philosophy

“The greatest investment we can make is not in buildings or technology, but in children. When we inspire a child to think independently, act with integrity, and learn with curiosity, we shape not just a successful individual, but a better future for society.”

Chief Operating Officer
Corporate professional turned educator and teacher
Leadership teams at edtech pioneers: Toppr, iDreamCareer, HumainLearning
Leader at renowned teacher training organisation 'I am a teacher'
CFO of Srujanavani (rural child education initiative)

Ram is a corporate professional turned teacher. He has spent all his years in the education sector. He has been in leadership teams of various edtech companies like Toppr, iDreamCareer, HumainLearning. He also served as a leader in a renowned teacher training organisation “I am a teacher”. Those years taught him what makes a school work and what gets in a child's way.

The Leap School is where he wants to put that learning into practice. Ram believes a school should begin with the child's questions, not the textbook's next page. The three ideas he keeps coming back to are curiosity, empathy and expression. At Leap, teachers are trusted to slow down, skip ahead or change course for the child in front of them. Books are a resource, not a schedule.

Ram is also serving as CFO of Srujanavani, a voluntary association working to give rural children a better education.
